Shirley Bengal
Shirley came to us August 27, 2021. Shirley is a hybrid who once she got comfortable, shows us her sweet, loving personality. The woman who brought us Shirley had rescued her from a “very sketchy situation where they were abused and basically spent the first year and a half of their lives living on top of a refrigerator”. The rescuer did everything she could to try to help undo the trauma from their past, but after 5 months and continuing to be too wild to handle (including urinating on her husband at night!) she decided to rehome Shirley. After looking and talking to other rescues and shelters, it was hard for her to find one that took hybrids and was not at full capacity. Luckily, she found the EFRC and Shirley is a happy, healthy girl.
