Full-Time Front Manager

Being a non-profit rescue center, tours are the main way we raise money for taking care of the big cats. It is also how we educate the public on why these big cats live at the rescue and how we can help exotic cats and other animals in the US and the wild.

The front managers are responsible for both leading tours of the rescue center, managing and training tour guides and tour volunteers, while simultaneously overseeing the operations of a retail gift shop, including merchandise sales, inventory management and organization, and customer service, ensuring a seamless visitor experience throughout their time at the site. Managers are also responsible for working with other team leads to coordinate fundraisers, merchandise ordering, tours, and other rescue center activities.

Other requirements include:

  • Must be 18 years or older and have reliable transportation.

  • Have up-to-date Covid 19 Vaccination.

  • Ability and willingness to work holidays and weekends and special events.

  • Work cooperatively, communicate well with co-workers, volunteers and supervisors.

  • Must have a pleasant personality and neat appearance.

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.

  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple situations simultaneously.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.

  • Demonstrate good public relations skills with guests.

  • Follow all OSHA and EFRC Safety protocols.

  • Ability to work in varying climate conditions, hot and cold.

  • Ability to stand, sit and/or walk for extended lengths of time.

  • Retail experience preferred, but not required.

Base pay starts at $11/hr but dependent upon experience.

Full-Time Maintenance/construction workers

  • Requirements and Job Expectations:

    • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation

    • Basic knowledge of construction practices

    • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions

    • Ability to work under adverse conditions including weather and heights

    • Regular maintenance of enclosures, heavy equipment, landscaping

    • Removal of snow and ice, as needed

    • Covid-19 vaccination is required

Full Time Public TOur Guide

The tour guides are responsible for visitor management, public relations, selling EFRC merchandise, and maintaining our gift shop area. Other requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability and willingness to work holidays and weekends and special events.

  • Work cooperatively to manage and communicate well with co-workers, volunteers and supervisors.
