VOLUNTEER

ARe you ready to make a difference at the Efrc?

If the answer is "yes", then we would love to have you on our team as a volunteer!

We are dependent on the service of interested, capable, and reliable volunteers to help us with the daily tours that help us take care of the many exotic cats here at the Exotic Feline Rescue Center. There are many different ways that our volunteers help, but tours are the main way that we educate the public on the plight of these amazing animals while also raising money to take care of them. Our volunteers are invaluable and we need people ready to commit to help.

As a reminder: Volunteers are not allowed to have direct contact with the cats at the EFRC. It is for the cat’s safety and yours.

There are many great opportunities available for our volunteers, including:

Greeting the center’s daily visitors

Selling tour tickets and merchandise

Giving narrated tours of the EFRC (training provided)

Helping with our many special events on- and off-site

Landscaping and maintenance

Just about anything else that comes up that day!

To become an EFRC volunteer, you must meet the following criteria

CRITERIA

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Be up-to-date and have proof of Covid-19 Vaccination

  • Attend the volunteer orientation at the Rescue Center (see form below)

  • Commit to volunteering at least twice per month

  • We also highly recommend that you have visited and been on a tour of the EFRC prior to orientation

Please note that under no circumstances will our volunteers engage in dangerous activity or be allowed to directly interact with one of our exotic cats. There are many ways to help these beautiful cats and keep everyone safe in doing so.

SPECIAL EVENT VOLUNTEERING

We understand that volunteering twice a month is a large commitment that not everyone can make. If you still want to volunteer at the EFRC for our Special Events, it would be a tremendous help to us raising money to take care of these amazing animals.
