Junior, as we call her, arrived with nine other cats from an Oklahoma traveling animal show in 2009. The owner lost his federal licenses and was also facing eviction following a 2003 incident at his facility. The EFRC was able to take all ten tigers. The man also had two bears which went to a fellow rescue in Arkansas. All the tigers were very skinny but put weight on quickly. Junior is a bit of a problem child. You can often hear her getting yelled at for bothering her enclosure mate or just not behaving when she is expected to!
