Red Fox
Mariposa or “Mari” was rescued from a fur and urine farm in Ashtabula, Ohio. More information on this rescue can be found here. She arrived to us missing her front right paw. It is unknown if this paw was lost due to usage of inhumane traps or caging methods prior to her arrival. She hops around just fine, and can be seen climbing all over her enclosure on tour. Mariposa means “butterfly” in Spanish. She lives with Schmetterling, another butterfly fox!
