Natas Tiger

In 2001, Natas and her two sisters arrived at the Rescue Center spitting and hissing. From then on they were known as the “Shy Girls”, because of their shy, untrusting demeanor. At three months old, the girls were torn from their mother at Rivendell Exotic Animal Farm in Wooster, Ohio and then sold at an auction for just $25 each. After being sold for such a cheap price, the girls went on to live at three different places before ending up at the Rescue Center. Their last owner took them in, in hopes of them being handleable and being able to be used for his “traveling classroom”. When he realized that was not an option, the “Shy Girls” were loaded into a dog crate and strapped to the back of a truck and driven hours to their final home at the Rescue Center. Natas was one of the shyest of the girls, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t afraid to show her teeth. Even now in her old age, Natas is still not trusting of humans because of the trauma of her early years.
